My Own Story.

I thought it will be a good idea to spend my 70th birthday away from home and amongst those who share my love for trike flying.!
On 25 April at 07H00 got airborne on a straight route for Secunda where Tubleweed will help me refuel.
The signal here, at about 8 KM from Oliver Tambo, is pathetic and will not alow me to be to thorough.
Will however try and show some pics with a bit of a story behind them.!

Battlefields, close to Bloedrevier where my voorsate had big fights with the Zulu,s.
There is no doubt that the Boere has lost that fight at bloedrevier and accept that king Zuma is now in charge of the country.
The Lodge at Battlefields is affordable with a smooth runway and worth a visit.
From battlefield it was a scary flight over some clouds to Evas.
On route to Evas I had to make a precautionary landing on a farm-like road where a farmer put my mind at ease about a see of clouds lying between me and my destination.

One of the best memories I take with me is the new friends I made.
Evas again proof to me the wonderful people we have amoungst our trike and Microlight flying community.
The flight from Evas to Margate was uneventful and smooth.
I made one of my most unimpressive landings at Margate. Luckely nobody saw it.!
Will add more pics later when signal improves here in the hart of Africa 8 km East of Oliver Tambo.

Battlefields is naby Dundee en die Lodge ontvangs het iemand vir my gestuur vir brandstof omtrent 6 km verder.
Ek het daar oornag maar as n ou daar gaan land vir n refill sal jy vooraf moet reel.
By Evas sal dit wenslik wees as jy vooraf reel. ek het die nommer van die eienaar as jy planne het.
Albei plekke is privaat runways en die eienaars het as n reel nie brandstof nie maar is baie behulpsaam.

Oom Paul ek ken vir Jan mayday Kemp baie goed.Baie goeie mens.As ek oom weer sien sal ek oom 'n paar stalkies van hom vertel.Enigste ou wat deur sy eie prop gevlieg het op wonderboom!Baie mooi fotos en plekke!
