Must have been a great trip....scary at 30ft above the water between the "soup" and the "drink!"
Does he know Mike and Olivier did that in a trike?
(as far as I know it's still the world record for the longest non stop flight in a WCM?) Iceland to Scotland...something like 8 hours!??

I do not mean in any way to make it smaller, but it was not the first time:
Two guys flew 2005 from Germany to Toronto in a Microlight/LSA
http://www.lornav.de/kanada.htm
Those guys have also flown to Spitsbergen before (Island very up north close to the nordpol).
At least both teams used the same plane: Flightdesign CT SW.

I have done a few long distance flights with this aircraft my self (over the baltic see to the German Islands).
But that was, without any doubt nothing, compared to this kind of missions.
Aircraft is very fast (230 km cruise speed) and the cabin is wider than a Cessna 172. The wing tanks take more than 110 liters.
It aint the nicest looking one (some call it ugly). But it is a dream to fly. Very agile on the controls. But it floats for ever while landing.
