Hi Bantam

Yes i am lucky to be drawn for Oshkosh. I am more a reader than a writer to the forum but joined now to reply to the wonder full comments I received.
I am also new to this sport and only got my license last year although it has been a life long desire to get involved. It is a pity one never have time (and money) to do this when you are younger.

I am based in Centurion and for my day job I run the company Model Maker Systems. We develop computer software for land surveyors, engineers and earthworks contractors.
I fly an Aquilla from Microland and enjoy every moment of it.

Hoping to make lots of new friends on the Oshkosh trip.

Howdy again.

The names Dish, or if you prefer Chris..

Couldn't agree with you more, I guess my big regret is that I didn't start flying earlier. Great that you have been watching the forum and awesome that you have now joined. You will find the more active you are here the more friends you will make, the more fly inns you will attend and (I have anyway) found that my enjoyment of flying has increased through the mates that I've made. Most are reprobates but we love em anyway.

As for Oshkosh, I was there two years ago with the very same reprobate's of which I speak. You will love it. Its an aviation feast, a festival of flying through the ages with more to see and do than you can imagine. there are museums, daily shows, about a million stands to view the latest aircraft stuff. It will fuel your addiction...

In case you weren't excited enough already have a look at the attached link and get you and your wife the best pair of walking shoes ever. Your gonna need em.

Enjoy mate, and hope to see you in the air very soon
