Started PPL with Algoa at FAPE in Sept'05, but have not flown since Dec'05 due to work commitments.
Hoping to get going again soon.
Love anything aviation related. Also known as Maverick on "other" forum, but see nick was taken here.
Welcome Beanie,

why don't you try doing a 3-axis MPL, much cheaper, just as much fun and you can use it as the first 25 hours of your PPL

Hi Willie

It is a very old trike there is a site in the UK but they deny any existance of the trike. Basically looks like a very old windlass

BUT IT DOES FLY

Hi there everyone.

I recently joined microlighters.co.za and doing my first posting to introduce myself. Based here in Margate, I have logged 0 hours and am awaiting my Bantam that was ordered a couple of weeks ago. ETA - middle of July. Also completed my medical today, just awaiting results.

I am sure all of you have been as anxious as I am whilst waiting for your respective first aircrafts? The last couple of weeks, accept for today we had the most stunning weather for flying. One day, I'll also join in the fun... :)

Are you starting your training on your new Bantam? That is very brave. I think I would prefer to bend the schools plane

I had the priviledge of meeting Willie the past weekend, did air-to-air- photos of the Hatz, met pal Louis with the Bushbaby. Wonderful people and great aeries in the Lowveld. Even got to fly a Bantam at Palaborwa airport. Must be the most beautiful airport building in SA. Had LOTS of fun at the Tzaneen airshow. :D :D :D

Good day all:D

I now have wings and have fallen instantly in love with it:D ZU-DNP some of you might have noticed was advertised on the forum for a while. The aircraft was impecably maintained and I hope to keep her scratch free for aslong as possible, and my compliments to the previous owner.

Unfortunately will not be able to drool directly over it as I am out the country for a few months. But have plenty of pics and can plot the various modifications:) Need to get the jets changed too sea level for a start.

Now I must just get my license...

P.S> Thinking of getting some nose art done on the banana pod, anyone done this to thier aerie or have any suggestions? Was thinking along the lines of a leggy busty softness riding a banana

Well it's anew week but when I woke up yestaerday mornbing and as usual expected crappy weather, when I looked out the window it was great and with lots of speed and haste I departed for Rhino only to arrive in da mist. It was not long to wait for safe flying and I had a good run out in the GF only to meet u8p with Johan Oelofse in the Quilt, what al slick littlr lady, and it has a little wheel at the back.
After the fun it was back to work.
