I post this info just so that pilot's planning to fly in on the day can familiarise themselves with what has been planned to avoid any confusion. After vacating the runway.... ATC will hand you over to the relevant Parking Marshals who will guide you to your designated area. Please be co-operative gents, space will be tight and for safety reasons it may not be possible to taxi righ into your parking spot! The marshall may ask you to shut down at a safe distance and persons will be around to help the pilot's hand-manouvre/push their aircraft into the right position. Also take note that upon departure... no start ups will be allowed without clearance from ATC. There will be many people around so safety must come first.
I do thinks so.... ;-)
AFIS
120.65
Call 5 miles out for joining and landing (if you don't call... I'm gonna tell the ATC folk to send you back to the 5nm boundary and try again.... )
Bulk e-mail will be sent shortly... just waiting for the NOTAM

I have just received and read the MISASA email regarding this event!!

WOW Johnno, Alan and the MISASA team! What a well-constructed, informative and professional email!

This is one of the best emails I have received from ANYONE of late!

This speaks directly to the MISASA team's professionalism and is an indicator of what we can expect on the 8th!

I cannot wait.

BRAVO MISASA!!!

We greatly appreciate you all and what you do for us! (^^) (^^)

And for the "History Buffs"..... I sincerely hope that John Illsley will be at FAKT as confirmed in the "Oldest Flying Aircraft in Africa"....a recently refurbished Aeronca (^^) (^^)

That would make a great gaggle from Petit with Skin, Brett and the boys. (^^) (!!)

ONLINE EXPO MALL

We have built an online expo mall that lists aviation suppliers.
See it at:
http://www.egauteng.info/mall-busbusiness.php?cat=22

Suppliers are encouraged to list and to let us have DEALS for the show. These will be discounted products and services that pilots may obtain by contacting the supplier. You need not be at Kitty Hawk to get the DEALS. Right now we have a few deals but many are promised so have a look at the eg below and return to get more. We will also be adding deals at the show - so booking the page on your phone is a good idea.

DEAL EG - http://www.egauteng.info/business_descr ... 6&bcati=22 scroll to the bottom of the page to see the DEAL.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS:

See it at: http://www.egauteng.info/business_descr ... 0&bcati=22

PLEASE DO TAKE THE SURVEY AND LET US KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING FOR YOU; SEE IT AT:
http://www.egauteng.info/Textpoll.php?c ... &pollid=63

If you find a supplier that is not listed - please send them an invite and ask them to contact me at nemo@webo.co.za

Well everyone, having had our last planning session at the airfield yesterday, I can honestly say that the Misasa Committee has done all it can to ensure a great day at FAKT on Saturday. (^^) (^^) (^^)

There will be food
There will be planes
There will refreshments
There will be lots to see and talk about.... vhpy

Will there be GEES?.....well that's entirely up to my fellow thugs. (!!)

Come rain or shine, make the effort and come and enjoy the day with us. Whether by skyway or highway....BE THERE! (^^)

I look forward to seeing you all at our annual festival of pilots, planes, fun...and fingers crossed for a bit of SUN! (!!)

Fly safe, Drive safe...we'll see you on the apron. (^^)

My many thanks to my Misasa collegues who have put in so much time and effort.
