Bushbaby Explorer for sale ZU – EZN
Airframe Total time 52 hours
Engine total time 52 hours
Propeller total time 52 hours
This aircraft was built under the supervision of Monty Jefferies who performed all inspections.
Instrumentation:
MGL Enigma EFIS (for PIC)
MGL Horizon (for Co-pilot)
Hobbs meter
Compass
Icom A200 Transceiver
Softcom intercom system(PIC and Co-pilot)
Ray Allen electric trim on elevator
Landing lights and full navigation lights (not night rated)
The PTT on both the PIC and Co-pilot joy sticks.
Radio frequency and trim can be operated from the pilots joy stick.
External battery charging points.
Engine:
Rotax 912 ULS
100 Hp (Total time 52 hours)
Reason for selling:
The purpose of building the aircraft was to provide my son a means of building hours towards his CPL, while at the same time getting to understand the technical side of aircraft.
He has now achieved these goals and is now flying for Wilderness Air in Botswana.
At the moment the aircraft is underutilized as my son only flies when he is home from Botswana.
After long deliberation and very emotional moments I have decided to part with my Baby.
The aircraft is hangered at Baragwanath airfield and has covers over it.
Asking price R350,000.00. Private sale.

I am Herman Visser (Afrikaans) and a new member of microlighters. I am almost 60 and I am a student pilot (LSA) in Cato Ridge.
I love this Explorer and I want to ask you in all honesty what the best price for this plane would be. If I can reach your price I would love to arrange to come and see it and fly it, for this will be my Baby until I die.
I am not trying to make you bend over backwards for me. I am only asking. If it cannot happen it is just meant to be, but I really like the looks of this machine.
Please let me know.

Bly om te hoor ons is amper ewe oud. Ek is 63. Soos jy kan sien was die vliegtuig eintlik vir my seun gebou. Eerstens om hom meer te leer oor vliegtuig konstruksie en tweedens om ure te bou vir sy kommersiele vlieglisensie.
Aan die einde van die dag het hy 'n werk in Botswana gekry en nie veel met die vliegtuig kon vlieg nie. Hy vlieg dit net as hy kom kuier.
As ek eerlik moet wees dan sal die regte prys vir die vliegtuig R375000 plus wees. Ek het ook met Stefan van KFA in komati poort gesels wat geneig was om te dink ek vra te min.
Die een wat die vliegtuig koop kry 'n winskoop.
Ek is baie lief vir die vliegtuigie en hoop regtig sy kry 'n goeie huis.
Herman baie dankie vir die belangstelling.

As ek geweet het die vliegtuig kom op het ek nooit 'n explorer begin bou nie, maar vir een of ander rede kan ons nie in die toekoms sien nie.
Baie mooi vliegtuig en absoluut 'n winskoop.
Ek glo hy gaan baie gou 'n ander huis kry.
Groete daar.

1) Dit is maklik hanteerbaar.
2) Dit het 'n baie lae staakspoed
3) Die prys is billik
4) Rotax 912s is 2000 tbo
5) Diens is plaaslik (Petit -KFA)
6) Indien jy eendag wil verkoop, is daar 'n mark vir die Explorer
7) Dit is STOL
Dit het baie spasie- en pakplek
9) 5 uur range
en- op my ouderdom- dit is lig genoeg om by die hangar in en uit te sleep.

The Cruise should be between 95-105mph in this one because of the older cowl there is more drag and I do not see fairings, also the nosewheel adds about 10kg that is unneccesary and adds drag.Can you please give some specs, i.e. Cruise speed, vne, stall speed, fuel burn etc.

The stall should be about 35mph at 600kg
VNE is 140mph
Fuel burn at 100 should be about 15-16l/hr
Range at 100mph@16l/hr = 6hr's and 625sm
