Beautiful day - but where are you folks?
A real beaut day at FAFK, no wind, soft light, some ground haze - and only John and yours truly in the sky. Must be some serious dads - maybe serious moms - about today?

was sitting tight in Cape Town looking up the sky with bleeding heart ...
Spoke to Morne on Thursday and by then he was off on the long weekend. School was going to be closed for the weekend he said. I haven't flown since my general flight test end of March and really would have liked an instructor behind me for a circuit or two. (Junkie - care for a check-ride next time?
My workplace moved to the Southern Suburbs, so no during-the-week flying for me for the next while. But - if wx good - see you guys at FAFK on Saturdays and Sundays!
Cheers,
V.
PS: My first post, wow, I finally made it!

Beautiful day - but where are you folks?
From a foggy Monday morning in Gordon's Bay - yesterday's glory's long gone. Sorry to hear of your wife's misfortune Junkie - goes to show what happens if you garden instead of fly!
Hope to see all you folks at FAFK over the weekend. :D

I flew Friday and Saturday, so I would have been deep in the pooh-pooh if I tried it on Fathers day as well. I actually did mention to the wife that I had promised to take a friend of hers up and that today was perfect, but the look she gave me convinced me rather to go along with their plans they had set out for me for the day.
I ended up getting a nice brekkie, had a few beers and watched a truly dramatic Moto GP
, the international link ran out and they cut the transamission 2 laps before the end
, had some more beers, got taken to supper for some sticky Ribs, Chickenwings, and chips, had some more beers, and relaxed on the couch
Turned out to be a nice day
