WOW!
What does a new Aquilla cost?
R220k?
Dude .... I think you have just found a market.
Would you trade in your trike for this fixed wing?

Aquilla's were R220k EX VAT last time I checked (over a year ago!)....then you still have to add avionics/instruments.
Trikes have simply become overpriced NEW....Not just Aquilla's! Second hand machines can still be found for a bargain. The Apollo DeltaJet is probably the best value for money (New) in my opinion...looks a peach too!
Would I trade in for the fixed wing in question? Probably not.... even considering the price!
I just love flying my trike too much.
If I ever wanted something a little faster with more ability to fly in wind etc etc it would be a Gyro. I really would like to own one oneday!
....I'd keep my samoosa though of course!
Stef and I have spent too much money on her to ever sell!

I agree with Bundy. I now fly both fixed wing as well as trikes. The fixed wing is the weekday work commuter but when it comes to recreational flying, nothing beats the trike.
The trikes are more social as you fly in groups, go out for breakfast or just fly. Fixed wings are more of "let's meet somewhere" and not as social. Flying close formation and the odd "low level" flights are far more fun. My daughters got to fly with me a few times and now only want to fly trike as it is not so boring as the fixed wing.
The Quicksilver looks almost similar to this aircraft but must say for R85k I would rather buy a used trike. Trikes will always be my flying first love

Have you ever heard of the challenger? You could probably pick one up secondhand for R90 000 or so and I think it's a better buy than that little thing.

I like flying my cheetah but I LOVE flying my trike. There are some days however when I wish I was in the cheetah rather than the trike, but in the good weather there is quite simply nothing, but nothing to compare to a trike.
