Looks like the boys are safe and sound in Lichtenburg....approx 95 miles covered?....winds are strong I'm told. The travellers will be chilling for a while untill the winds die down.

From what I understand from the "Bucketlist" item on the website it is 25 Dreams @ R 5000,00 a shot, which will enable 25 terminally ill children - who will not have the privilege to EVER fly a trike, never-mind at the ripe old age of 69 - to experience SOMETHING of the wonderful fruits that life can bear for them - except they will never live to be old enough.

Very appropriate that The Geriatrics live their OWN dream - before they go to the old age home -

, and at the same time raise funds to those who will never be able to go to an old age home after a full life.

Lets help realise the small dreams of 25 small people who were dealt a shorthand by life. Help give them that ONE experience that they dream of at night - before the inevitable, premature, and final night arrives..

E NEWS - (dis E-tv en ENCA op 403,) het ELKE aand om sewe 'n halfuur nuusprogram op KYKNET - in Afrikaans!! Met nuus wat belangrik is vir AFRIKANERS!

Dis hier waar die aksie was! 'n vol insetsel met "toesprake deur beide ons "oumense", shots terwyl hulle pre-flight, Oom Polla wat Deborah half dooddruk , trikes uit die lug uit etc. etc. Met die verslaggewer wat heeltyd ALLES verduidelik - insluitend die dryf vir R 12500,00.

Dudes julle het SLEG uitgemis. Oom Polla is 'n celebrity"!!

NS: Let me just pre-empt some comments on me because I said AFRIKANERS

above - I do not mean that flying is more important to Afrikaners than to English people - merely that because it is a "niche" version of E-news, they obviously carried the story in full to the Afrikaans audience. So please don't shoot me.

To the Namibians - sorry - but while you are so "friendly" - please post here as soon as you have contributed to the Reach for a Dream fund? Put your Nam $ where your NAm

is.

I hope I am not rustling old leaves around, but have you seen the print on your Namibian Certificates of Validation at the bottom ?

Agree with Roel guys...the dates and text on those NDCA ATF's simply do not make sense?

I tell you the complexities of flying cross border in an NTCA are simply mind boggling to me. Very interesting read on Avcom about all this. I find the fact that there seem to be a different set of requirements for each country completely illogical considering they are all ICAO signatories??
I really hope the Co that Louis has hired to sort out their paperwork will be able to take some of the workload away from our intrepid travellers.

Interesting Feature - Altitude profile in Google Earth. How do you "tie" it to ground altitude?
