Hey Guys,

Wont be flying on Sat but Sunday morning I'll be heading to a pvt strip near Cullinan if you want to join me. I called today and the runway was mowed recently and in decent condition I'm told. The land belongs to a client of mine and we are welcome there.

I know we haven't decided on a name yet but...here is something we thought up that could look good. Would like your input and ideas. puff

Names of the airfield and pilot are obviously custom.

Why were Stef and I alone at the airfield today?.....oh yes...it was KAK

Not a great day to fly, nearly turned around halfway to the airfield with rain and lightning covering the tower. We waited for about an hour and it got better. Lekker to fly with my partner in crime for a change. Had some good cross wind landing practice at Zynkraal and FABA...

Dont stress...you didnt miss much.

Hope next weekend is better. (^^)

Microlanders, I do not think we want to fit into a group defined as a GANG ##

A gang
1. A group of criminals or hoodlums who band together for mutual protection and profit...NO ##
2. A group of adolescents who band together, especially a group of delinquents...NO ##
3. A group of labourers organized together on one job or under one foreperson: a railroad gang....NO ##
4. A matched or coordinated set, as of tools: a gang of chisels...Maybe? :?
6. A pack of wolves or wild dogs....Don't think so
7. A herd, especially of buffalo or elk....not all of us
8. A series of similar tools arranged to work simultaneously in parallel...a gang bang?

Lets leave that name for others. puff

Had a great hour long flight this morning (^^) Only took off at 8 ## . A little bumpy, but there was no wind vhpy . No one else in circuit or for that matter on frequency. One R44 from Kittyhawk on 125.4 on route to FAWB. Almal het seker geskrik vir die donderweer vroeer vanogend. Johannes & Kennith took this opportunity to trim the grass on the edge of the runways and to spray weedkiller on 03. They had to run and dive a couple of times to avoid my touch and goes. I think I must fit a hooter on my aerie. vhpy Thanks, Johannes and Kennith, stunning guys them two. (^^)

Safe flying. (-)

Ok...I think I have listed them all here (please correct me if I've missed one)

Proposed Names: These will all have the Prefix "The Microland"

Dacron Devils
Flying Maidens
Samoosa Gaggle
Lightweight Heavies
The Bapsfontein Bunch
Samoersa Gaggle
Rotax Bromponies
Rotax Raiders
Samoosa Raiders
2-Strokers
Dawn Dwellers
Tailwinds
Bar Flyers
G strings
Grass Cutters
Shockwave Spanners
Cunning Stunts
Rumblin Airmen
Winged Beavers
Flying Bacons
Blood Sweat and Beers
Air Farce
Fly a Ways
Cabbage Patch Kids
Squadron One
Turbo Trikers
B Team
Tower Rangers

Right. We will vote on a name on Feb 16th. It will work like this...

All present will pick their 5 favorite names and write them down. These will be tallied up and the top 5 names will be entered into the Final Vote. Everyone present will then vote for their 1 favorite out of those to see what rediculous name we have given ourselves. (^^) You all have till the 14th to still submit a "name"

I havnt laughed so much in a long time reading a few of these!

I guess "The Microland wankers" would be inappropriate.
