Vaal Dam .... What is the flying time from FABA, two and a half hours return?
Wx ...... Wind 3km/h tomorrow morning at 04h00Z ....... There is a chance of a rain between 08h00Z and 09h00Z.

Byron, to Klip is about 45min flip, then I do believe Klip to Vaal is 30min. I would work on about 3 hour round trip (give and take)

Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."routing for the tower"
Hi guys,
My thoughts .....
FARhino - FABA - FASI - Ergo Slimes - Rand RA (skirt the buffer zone) - FAKlipri - FADeney (Deneysville) and return via same route.
This equates to a total of 146NM. I estimate flying time to be around 03h45 on my donkey [yours may be faster]. Note that this excludes some flying time from Deneysville over the dam and back to Deneysville, as well as some re-fueling time. I guess add another 30min [or more], so we have a total flying time of around 04H15 ......... Nice trip - Take fuel.

Back in my old Panorama days, it was in close proximity, so we flew this stretch a few times.
If we roll at 05H30, we should be back at around 10h00.
Thanks for the invite guys, but given the late planning (on my side, not yours), and the hot turbulent weather, I am going to opt out, and rather leave this trip for winter.
If you are going, please don't let me discourage you.
Fly safe guys.

Me and Jaco left FABA around 5h50 for Klip; then met Alpha who led the way toe FAVV. There we met Madman and Ettiene. We routed to VAAL. Some of the pics I snapshot off my Video Clip.
