Morning everyone,

It is with great sadness that I have had to inform my fellow crusaders Louis and James this week, that I am no longer in a position to go on this long awaited adventure. Having seen my trip budget wiped out in the last 3 weeks due to some unexpected hurdles, my journey down the Orange is over before it had a chance to begin...

To Louis and James, this adventure is now yours. I wish you both a safe and successfull journey and I thank you both from the bottom of my heart for your support and encouragement throughout this "Big Dream". It really is a bitter pill to have to swallow, but as they say...."Life is what happens while you are making other plans".

Godspeed, and goodluck boys! I will be with you both in "spirit" all the way.

For me, the dream lives on...I will conquer this river one day.

Thank you to all who have inspired me so far. I wont forget it guys....

Sorry to hear :(
Having personally experienced the ordeal of having to give up on a flying dream due to financial problems, I can say this....it does get better, and you will get your chance again...just not right now. Keep the dream alive
Maybe join us for the trip to Pyramid that Mervin mentioned.

Alan nobody will be more disappointed than you, as we all know from the enthusiasm and effort you put into the planning for this trip that it was going to be your dream trip. Life however happens and one has to be practical. Another door will open and I trust that you will some day still do the trip. Will keep you posted on developments. (^^)
