Proposed fly inn to Fact

Postby Jabbanaught » Wed Oct 17, 2012 1:26 pm

Dear All

If the opportunity present itself , would you like to fly into Cape Town International , land get a stamp that you did it and then depart again for breakfast at Stellenbosch as an example ?

The problem lies that its got to happen at first light 05h00 (December ).

I have been working on this for awhile , but need to get an idea of the interest in something like this .

All ideas , contributions will be welcomed !

Paul

Hi Guys

The idea was that pilots that do not get the opportunity to land at an international airport to land and experience flying in controlled airspace .

We would all fly in from a central area eg Morningstar in small groups Eg trikes together , gyro's etc , land vacate on rwy 34, get your picture taken get a stamp , we will then depart again in the direction of Stellenbosch for a breakfast , unfortunately we will have to depart to that directions .

As an added social responsibility i want to make it something similar to the toyrun the motorbikes have , each pilot and or pax bring with them a soft toy , which we can then hand over to a shelter , seeing that its so close to xmas .

To all the aviators

We have decided that this will not happen during December , ACSA unfortunately cannot accomodate us due to building works on the runway and other matters which i cannot solve before then . Its been meeting after meeting to try and get this done for the microlight fraternity , i will not give up , but for now i have to stand down .

I want to thank the ATNS guys for all the positive contribution that they have made to this .

Watch this space

Regards
