Why not ask the king himself?
Pieter de Necker published a book in 1995 named "The Handling, Care and Maintenance of Wood Propellers". It is a very comprehensive piece of work and should be in the hands of all users of such propelling devices
I hope for your sake, and anybody flying a wood propeller, that it is still available.
Google him and get one.

Nico,
Jammer kom nou eers terug.

Re: tightening of a wooden prop
To get the "slack" out of the threads, start off with 3 to 5N/M.
Do your tracking. The final setting is 13N/M.
18 is very high!!! By then you should have indented the plate into the wood, not GOOD!!
Hope it helps.
