I have an airmagic intercom, bunny ear aerial with regulated power supply. ICOMA23 radio; Garman 196 GPS.
This whole set up works wonderfully. Clear as a bell until I am at full revs. So climb out I get a high pitch screech. How is this getting through? Is the regulator not handling top rev interference?
Interference will come in and drop out sharply, like a stutter. It definitely feels like a threshold is being met and when exceeded the screech is let through.

Sparkplugs were changed less than 25 hours ago. The noise did not come in with the change. There was some rewiring that occured though as I put in a digital fuel level and fuel flow meter MGL.

I get the same thing at full RPM with my Filser ATR 833 radio. If I change my Squelch and Vox it eliminates this completely, but I feel by changing my squelch I might loose a weaker radio transmission signal so I endure the 30 seconds of screetching on take-off. I agree, it sounds like reaching a specific threshold opens this up.

Re: Radio interefrence at hi revs
Zulu might enlighten us.
Airmagic's beauty is that it is an independent circuit.
Last Sunday, on threshold prior take-off, I did my mag check. Dropping the one mag I got a "clack" sound in my headset ("clack" being a sound like a spark or lightning transmitted through the headset). Did the mag check another time, same clack, 3rd and 4th time it was gone. A magnetic field discharged ?
Uncle Zulu, please advise ...
