Geniet jou vlug vanaf Saldanha.
Barberton groete.

Dit klink dieselfde as hier, was ook mooi stil op die grond maar net na opstyg was dit nie meer so kalm nie!Barberton Sparkie wrote:Ek weet dit het niks met jou trip van Saldanha na Rhino uit te waai nie, maar ek self het ook vanoggend so 07h opgestuig met my trike van my Pvt strip hier in Barberton en ook net 0.5h gevlieg, die turbelensie was net so erg. Re: Saldanha to Rhino Park
A quick progress report......
I went to visit CAA today so ZU-CGR is now on my name, next is the ATF that will be done by Johann Froneman in Saldanha.
I have decided on the basic route to ferry her back, it will be Saldanha to Beaufort West (278 miles), fuel at Beaufort West. then Beaufort West to New Tempe (306 miles) again for fuel. If it is later in the day (depending on departure time from Saldanha) or the weather is not good (or very bumpy) I would stay over at New Tempe. Then the same day or the next day route to Rhino Park (269 miles) via Heidelberg, might stop at Heidelberg for fuel if needed or if it is early to find out if there is fog at Rhino Park.
Fly safe,
Rudi

Re: Saldanha to Rhino Park
We flew from Komatipoort to Nylstroom on monday and was definately one of the 10 most bumpy rides I have ever had. Weather look ok for the flight but the mountains had their own plans

I have also noticed a few rather bumpy days recently, even early in the morning. I hope it will improve before the flight!KFA wrote:We flew from Komatipoort to Nylstroom on monday and was definately one of the 10 most bumpy rides I have ever had. Yes, those mountains, I have crossed them a few times (around 8 times if I count correctly) and some of those flight were real bumpy, a few smooth, I remember one trip to CC's place, I took of from Rhino, trimmed the plane and other than a few gentle rudder inputs to stay on track I never touched the stick again till I started the decent on the other side! That flight produced many photos!
