Thanks Anthony.

If you are one to read a quick getting started guide on how to use it: www.avcom.co.za/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=55049

One of the biggest problems are the lat and longs. If you do not provide them, or get the format incorrect - it defaults to the PE Airport (Birth Place of AvCom) for the google image.

Will be updating with a few features in the next short while, and have added the frequency listing to those updates.

Cool, do you know how to delete an incorrect runway entry? There's an incorrect 08/29 entry that I can't get rid of / update?

And it would be cool if one could print out / export to Excel the list, any idea how to?

We have been very cautious of the deleting to avoid someone deleting by mistake (or maliciously). For now - just put in Please delete on that particular rwy or airfield entry and we will delete.

Export to Excell, word or Pdf is coming soon.

Much more than just the frequencies, but also includes any special joining procedures, google pics of the airfield, fuel availability/pricing etc. If you believe we can get it more accurate with our collective - I will include a listing to show frequencies only. WIll also include a button where you may download all these frequencies to excell, pdf, or even word.

See this for an idea as to what is already available: http://www.avcom.co.za/airport/airportview.php?UniAir=1
Excellent, Brilliant, Bravo!!! =D* =D* =D*

If you can get this list in downloadable format, into say an Excel spreadsheet, this would solve ALL my ills!! (^^) Where I was working towards was a "kneeboard" size list of ADs in my area! So, with a spreadsheet of this nature I can edit and reduce to suit me!

This site rocks! (^^)

BTW: I have just added Aeroden - it was a synch.

Also, for the newer pilots amongst us, please clarify the terms "ATSU" (Air Traffic Service Unit, right?) and "AMO" (??)!

Excellent!! Thank you! (^^)

Now to get all the ADs listed and maintained.

C'mon all . . . . input and update! Go here and input the five or so ADs in your area http://www.avcom.co.za/airport/airportlist.php

Good stuff. Is it possible to include at least the first runway record in the Excel export?

Did consider this - have added it to features for the next release. The problem is that an airfield that has say 4 runways - how do you tell which one is first? Would have to put all the runways in for it to be comprehensive.

Since this is in the technical talk forum, let's get technical... :)

I see three options:

1. Add a field in the runway table to indicate the "preferred" runway
2. Add extra columns to the export for up to 4 runways (results in a lot of empty space)
3. Duplicate the airport data for each runway (So for 4 runways, you'd have 4 rows)

Option 3 is probably the most technically "correct" way to do it as you can then do fancy pivots on it in Excel, but will require some manipulation by the user.

I think the main reason is to just have all the runways listed in a single line for quick reference/planning. I dont believe that it would be to do any manipulation such as pivot tables etc. Correct me if I am wrong chaps.

Yeah, that's why I put "correct" in quotes. I think option 2 will serve most people's purposes, and for us puddle-jumpers most of our AD's only have one strip anyway :)
