Vote please: what color panier/saddle bags & seat covers!?

Postby Loco » Tue Aug 21, 2012 11:08 am

Hi guys

I'm pimping out my trike a bit

Here's a pic of the wing (sorry about the pic quality):
wing.jpg
wing.jpg (26.1 KiB) Viewed 2350 times
The wing's in black, lime green and white

Since my battery box and instrument pod is black I also ordered black mud guard, spats, shock covers & pylon fin

Eish so basically all black with a weird wing pattern :)

Now what should I make the panier bags and seats?

Here's some examples solowings sent me:
Custom (bird).jpg
Custom (flames).jpg
Custom (Swirl).jpg
Custom (tribal).jpg
Panniers1.jpg
Help please, should I just stick with plain black all over or pimp it out with something custom?

Ideas pretty please

In my opinion...always better to use the same colour scheme as the wing. The design is up to you but the colours must blend nicely.

I like the wavy design (!!) ...but I would make the green sections a bit narrower? Anyway...who the hell cares what I think. Your trike bud...whatever blows your hair back dude! Nice to have a trike that looks a little different 8)

Have fun and post pics of the final result. Please PM me or post here what the two saddle bags cost? Ours are getting a little thin in places, would love to know what they are going for these days. (^^)

For starters: Get a new YELLOW sail. Then respray your pod and all other fibreglass accesories YELLOW. Then get new seats / paniers, and include yellow striping. You can also put in one or two blue stripes, just to fit in with the engines colour.

The overwhelming yellowness will provide a big increase in performance of your trike in all aspects. And it will look GOOOD!! (!!) (!!)

   Sorry - I know I rendered no assistance whatsoever - but could not resist!
Seriously though - I would go with pic 3 - custom swirl - and make the swirls lime green. (^^) Glad to see the "camo trike" got a loving new owner! Nice to see people serious about the condition - and sexiness - of their trike. Structural issues sorted? :?: :?:

ROFL you made my day! yellow is a bit too porno for me hehe :)

on the structural issues she's pretty sorted now, this is what we did/going to do, eish so much work just wish i could fly again:
- new boom, seat frame & also replaced all new nuts & bolts while we at it
- sand blast & powder coat wheel rims
- new normal size tyres & tubes
- new air magic system + v-rabbit antenna (we think they stole my chatterbox at previous hanger :()
- new battery
- new ALL BLACK battery box, mud guard, spats, shock covers & pylon fin
- new seat covers
- complete rear steering incl. throttle
- new panier/saddle bags
- new cables
- redid/neatened all the wiring
- new spark plugs, thermostat (it did not have one), carb rubbers, gaskets etc.
- new piping all round
- decoke service (the piston rings are not loose)

as you can see fun & games eish but hope she'll be back to her former glory when we're done

cheers
ant
