Really ???? This thread IS on flying events. NUMBI... happens every year.... last event was a non event due to lack of participation... so best we all pull finger and organise or no- one will be there again this year, which I do sadly believe then, will be the end of a 25 year tradition...
so best we all try and start genereating a bit of interest.. and Tailie and the chain gang know exactly what im talking about

so Mulderpm - you coming to numbi this year

Hi Weedy,

Awesome,I worked out a similar plan via Kwena Dam as I have checked from the old Numbi posts,Blue Max also advised to head via Kwena dam ##

Gav,if you cut out Lydenburg you save an hour of flying.

Check out the plan I worked out on vfrPlanner,it routes the same route as Weedys, but staying clear of Lanseria CTR  Also instead of Lydenburg,we will stop at Walkersons for a backseat refuel

The only question would be fuel, can it be arranged at Aeropark,Middelburg and Walkersons.I know that I can make it to Middelburg before I would need to fuel up if I am not fighting a headwind, but that is because I have 50l tank, you on the other have 1 less hour of flying time than what I do with your 36l tank combo

I worked out the plan with a tailwind of 10mph all the way to Numbi..it would take us 4 hours with a 10l an hour fuel burn and ASI at 50mph...worst case, headwind so add another 1hr30min for just in case.

Sooo Weedy,I see your plan has contact details on it,perhaps we can call and find out if fuel can be arranged..otherwise,are there any pilots in the mentioned area's willing to assist with Mogas :?:

I am excited about Numbi, gonna be awesome ##

Have a good one :!: :!: :!:

If flying over Lydenburg, I am sure I will be able to get us some juice....
