P-Prop, that article was good and scientific. Very informative, thanks.

Bottomline: Stay away from TCW3 certified oils in a Rotax.

Everything else, even sunflower oil and Avgas is bakgat when used with moderation.

For me, I love my Husquavarna mineral chainsaw 2 stroke for my trike, my chainsaw (obvious), the weed eater, MX bike and my son's PeeWee.

Would now love to continue a debate on what petrol ... ULP or LRP, 95 or 93, Sasol, Caltex, BP, Shell or whatever

Air Cooled rotax engines use API spec Super Chainsaw

Water cooled Rotax engines use TCW 3 spec Super outboard plus.

Stop argueing PLEASE.

Why don't we just do what ROTAX advices. An air cooled spec for the 503 and 582 water cooled. i.e Super Chain-Saw

Read the attached document from ROTAX under section 3.1. Use only air-cooled oil!!
