Vaal Dam landing area

Hi all

Where can one land at or near the Vaal dam to refuel with a microlight? Are there still runways in use in that area?

PM "Dan" on Avcom, he has one, there is one right next to the wall but has no refuelling.

Deneysville (leeukop) was in reasonable condition about six months ago.

We are situated at Oranjeville airfield at the Vaaldam(5miles south of the dam wall).
We have 6 aircrafts here, and we would be more than happy to arange fuel for you.

I would also like to fly in sometime. Can you give more info on your strip. Length, direction and coords please.

sounds great guys who else from the south will want to fly there???
I just need to complete my flight tests and then we can go maybe in 2 to 3 weeks time weather being good and all that
