Airstrips at Vrede and Van Reenen?

Postby Tumbleweed » Tue May 22, 2012 2:37 pm

Hi,

Any details of landing strips at Vrede and Van Reenen?

Dont have a copy of the mag and am interested to stop at the advertised development near Van Reenen and check it out.

Vrede airfield is still in a good condition. It is a grass runway and is ±800m [ 27°26'24.82"S 29° 9'14.31"E].

I think the closest airfield to Van Reenen (town) will be Harrismith and I think there is an airstrip at a Shell garage also in that region.
