Ignition key for stolen Rotax

Postby Wagenaar » Mon May 14, 2012 2:51 pm

This is a sincere invitation to the thug(s) who stole my brand new Rotax 582 off my aircraft together with the instrument panel and Venter trailer some two or so years ago at Conterman'skloof, Durbanville, to give me a call. I still have the spare ignition key available and you are welcome to collect! Gerrit Wagenaar - 084 2067448.

Hmmmm..... Sounds a bit too specific to have been stolen for scrap value. Surely this engine will surface in the industry sometime.

It's those guys whom you wish their asses itch terribly and their fingers turn into 2/0 fishing hooks ,,! Seems As if it was stolen for aspecific purpose - pity you didn't enquire who asked for quotes from the Talliban for said engines ... Maybe , maybe you could be more specific about engine details etc who knows , leprachaun

Thanks a lot for your concern. I went through a lot of trouble at the time of the theft including paying a lot of money to a completely inefficient private investigator, circulating engine particulars to all APs in the country etc etc. However, one reaches a stage where you cut your losses (emotional and otherwise) and move on. The current flash-back was caused by me discovering the ignition key together with some other obsolete keys. Thanks again.
