I have this afternoon personally apologised to Colonel "hosepipe" Hanekom on behalf of CKC. His direct words to me were that the Chief of the Airforce was most impressed with the way that we flew, our discipline and our precise timing. He also said that that CKC was never, ever again welcome to a fly in, fly past etc. Dawid Bredenkamp - you have embarrassed Misasa and all it's members. Shame on you

Bliksus, maar it was lekker.
First need some sleep now.
But before I go doss, the Chain Gang is an abreviation. Never new that.
They are actually the "Chain Saw Gang". Hulle snork as hulle slaap, dan echo dit 5 sekondes later van daai hangar se dak.
But that got sorted at 04hoo AM when we filled the wheelie bin with empty bottles next to (was it ?) Rafik's lazyboy bed. (**)
Will post some shots and comments t"morrow.

I vote it as the best FLY-IN and PROP-WASH of the year !!!! (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^)

Without prejudice:
Man of the series: Les
Man of the match: Les
Man of the day: OC @ Zwartkops
Lady of the day: ATC @ Waterkloof
Man of last night: Bundy and Tom (Food and (^^) )
Man of the funnies: Rafik (Madman) and spacial orientation
Man of the park: John, pumping our Bret and kick starting Deon
Lady of the park: John.com's wife and her camera
Smell of the day: Two stroke and then the inevitable propwash
King of Propwash: The pilot left in the sixth flight, donder, maar jou prop skop (I was 7 left) (**)
Kicks for the day: Waving to the croud and the trompoppies during the fly-past over 02 Taxiway
End of the day: Single Captain and Coke at Brits Vliegklub after landing in a 15 kts easter crosswind !

I reckon I can enjoy my next week on earth !

And before I forget, Tony Gibson and his gaggle of PPG (Paragliders) looked awesome and, I think, an awesome and disciplined backdrop to our flypast ! Well done Tony and your crowd. Wil nie weet hoeveel propwash daar in julle gaggle was nie

And CKC (Dawid Bredenkamp) still has the absolute cheek to phone me and try and argue his position. I don't care who you are, you never, ever talk to ATC the way you you did Dawid. Please don't try and tell me that it was a emergency because that's a load of old bollocks, everyone in front of you and behind you followed the briefing. You will receive an email from MISASA shortly. I also apologised to Tony@PPG. He was dignified in his acceptance of being insulted as CKC did.

This was definately one of the highlights in my years of flying. Super fantastic!!!!. I was holding position in the second last row before take off. An absolute unbelievable view to see all the microlights taking off and slowly start packing the sky.

To the pilots not involved: 51 Microlights on take off. CAN YOU IMAGINE THE VIEW FROM THE BACK. The take off intervals was 30 seconds separation with 3 microlights per stack. Thus 9 minutes from first to last gaggle on take off. The pilots just handled the situation fantastic. A mind blowing experience.

It was a very special flying day in my life and to share it with people like you guys made this unforgettable. WELL DONE!!!! xxx

Thanks to all involved.

Hendrik Loots aka Skin

NS: Sorry Mr Bredenkamp, you did'nt spoil my day.... you just made an ass of youself!!

To a lady who was used to tracking transponder squawks across a radar screen and who was suddenly confronted with gaggles of trikes arriving "visual" from all corners of the sky in their 3s, 6s and 7s . . . . we salute you Mam, you did an amazing job!!! (^^)
