Wish we could have landed at Swartkops for the show and then departed in the afternoon :(

Please remember to jack up on your radio work as you will be talking to ATC Waterkloof for approach and landing instructions.

-Waterkloof will be open from 12h00 on Friday to 12h00 Sunday for those coming early and the pilots who want to depart on Sunday. I will be supplying each pilot with an ID tag if you are sleeping over on Friday and for those who will depart on Sunday. Please feel free to contact me for the ID as I will have to check you on the list before issuing the ID.

-We have arranged transportation from Waterkloof to Swartkop at 17h00 on Friday afternoon and back to Waterkloof on Saturday. If you are going to be later than this time please inform me so that arrangements can be made. I trust that you will make it by 17h00 to alleviate any additional planning.

-The whole airshow will be on one frequency and I will communicate this to you on Wednesday.
-At this stage we have settled with a three trike formation with 20-30 second intervals which will allow you to fly comfortably and safely.

-I will detail the flight path from FAWK - FASK by means of a map which will be posted here.

-All aircraft not flying in on Friday MUST be on the ground by 07h00 on Saturday for the briefing at 07h10

-Stay posted for more info

Trust me when I say that you wouldn't want to be anywhere Zwartkop on Saturday after we have cleared the sky. The amount of aeries that will be in the air till late will blow your socks off!! They're talking of 50 aeries of different makes from prop to jets in the air on Saturday. (**)

Now that would be the best part!!

Early very few planes would be in the air and during an airshow there are seldom more than a few planes in the air and only the actual ones performing at the moment would be close so chances are it will be quieter than my local field on a Saturday morning

Anyway, no problem, will head back for the show afterwards vhpy

Hi Gents

This is the route for Saturday. All concerned are of the opinion that the wind will be light from the North hence the circuit as shown. The final decision will be made at the briefing on Saturday morning. Due to the no. of aircraft participating a decision will be considered to do two circuits (!!) (^^)

Sunrise is 6.35am; less 15mins for absolute earliest legal take off time on Saturday is 6.20 am....... =40 minutes flying time on Saturday morning to arrive(best case scenario); i need 38 minutes (assuming no winds) (**) (**) (**)

Hi Guys

For those that would like to leave their trike at Ingwe which is 10minutes away, let me know. Fly in on Friday afternoon, leave your trike there and drive in early Saturday morning. If you are in a group, leave one car at Ingwe for driving back etc.

Let me know

Thanks Iceman!..We all automatically think that everyone is closer that 30min flying time coupled to sunrise creeping up later and later. I will relay your concern this morning and get some relief there. I think that there's a saying"best laid plans of mice and men" 8)
