Ouboet / Maya / Geelslang / Mellow Yellow / Geel Gevaarte, safely hangared @ her place of birth, for a full airframe inspection / fitting of actuator / tuning of wing.

This trike will reside in Pietersburg, so, I am rather spending a bit more time / money (**) NOW, while she is here, than sitting 180 miles away and needing parts. ## I AM ITCHING!! (**) (**) , but - "Patience, young Skywalker.."

Nee Nico - hulle battle met stock - blykbaar is die hele container waarin dit was by doeane geblok en teruggestuur...

Good news for me though is that the rest of my service is all but done - and I should take delivery Thursday morning. Can't wait!!

Hi Nico.

Unfortunately the whole container of actuators was returned to port of origin as the container it was in also had a stash of narcotics on board – so everyone sharing the container has had to deal with the delay!!

Sorry about this – I will advise when we are good to go.

Mike.

You see Bundy - the narc dealers who booked space on the container heard something about "being high" and drew their own conclusions - and subsequently shared space with some trike accessories - which - as we know - is a different kind of high!

I must come up for Mike though - today in the workshop it was decided that my profile tube has some wear and tear at the top. No problem - lets fit a new one - and YES - THEY HAVE STOCK! (^^) (^^) (^^)

I was amazed at what I witnessed today after they went through my trike. Attention to detail is high, and the workmanship is fantastic. I even witnessed a few "extra's" - things I wanted to ask about, and found that it has already been attended to.

Not even on my invoice! ##

Is this correct DH/James?

In flight trim picks up the trailing edge via a cable through the kingpost.....an actuator moves the hang point?

Vra maar net. (^^)

Ja - I don't know which technical term is correct - the Cobra's wing has that harness with pulleys on the reflex-bridle that allows you to pull up the trailing edge by turning a knob - it works - you can see the trailing edge picking up (on the ground).

I will see for myself what the effect is in very calm weather so that I can judge the effect of the input without external factors. Supposedly it slows you down (and lowers your stall speed) by about 5 miles p/h. I have had so many conflicting opinions on this, ranging from "It does not work" to "It is dangerous" - I'll just check it out myself. High above the ground.

The actuator moves the wing forward or backward - like what you would do on the ground, taking out the holding pins and moving your hangblock forward - backward. The nice thing is that you can set your wing to its slowest speed for take-offs and landings, and move it to its fastest speed once lekker high and on track for your next destination.

All of this of course new to me, and to be tested with MUCH caution in good conditions.
