Just wanted to share the best day of my life with my friends here at Microlighters
After 20 hours I (finally) went solo this morning
Luckily I had my HD170 with me to record it, here's some shots (it was on video mode)
When Uncle Alex ordered a full stop and asked me to unplug him I realized eish this must be it, here he's checking comms My first solo take-off, boy does she climb without a pax, I almost messed it up because I came off the throttle too much when she shot up like a rocket, Uncle Alex quickly corrected me on the radio "full throttle!!!" First solo landing approach and touch down, she just wants to keep flying And another round Congrats from Uncle Alex Best of all my Rhino Park solo "certificate" - "Remember Always Fly Safely!" I feel really blessed to have such amazing instructors at Rhino Park Flight School, I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all:
Marius Nel
Pieter Kriel
Henry van den Berg
Uncle Alex Rudd
Seems like a really long way to go still before I get my license but getting to this point has been a real tough but extremely rewarding experience
Lastly but certainly not the least I would like to thank you guys at Microlighters for your wealth of knowledge I keep getting on a daily basis from crawling these pages
Cheers
Ant
