Cleaning Rotax 582 blue top

Postby cjkrit » Sat Jan 07, 2012 7:44 pm

Can it do any harm if I apply engine cleaner with a brush and then wash it with one of these household high pressure washers?
Any do's or don"ts?

Thanks

Be carefull not to get water into the rear of the engine where the ignition/charging system is. Also cover the air filters with a plastic bag and elastic band , to prevent water getting into the engine. After the wash use an airduster with a compressor to blow the engine dry.
