Your innovative and practical thinking have always amazed me. That oven is unbelievable .

Cheers

Thanks Callie. The oven is what is referred to as a 'hack' - a quick and dirty hack at that. But it was cheap, and worked perfectly ;) - just one more excuse to build the KR Super 2 when this is done vhpy .

I still haven't braved the CAA - I want to make sure I really have finished building first - my predictions on completion have been a little off so far (**) .

 After the amount of effort I spent on the cowl, I would rather post cure it propperly, than risk it warping once the engine is at temperature...

Work has been absolutely nuts the past couple of weeks. Together with cricket season, this has seriously chewed into my building time.

Finally got a chance to prime the cowl and spinner. It sure is a good way to humble yourself. I thought I had made an awesome cowl - until it had a nice, glossy coat of primer. Millions of tiny pinholes, and some small voids on the tight curves.

Been assaulting it with Elastic Weiss (couldn't find Kombi Filler). The result is starting to look closer to what I thought it would look like ;) .

Gah... This plane has been a day (OK, or three) from complete for a month now, and I have barely seen it. December was going to be a busy month at work (I want to take off 10 days in January, so I need to get all the customer work out of the way) - but then the $$#%%$ morons in charge of our office park decided to change our ISP with two weeks notice... This took a full week of work, which is now being made up over weekends and public holidays (I am still at the office now, waiting for a data load to complete)...

Anyway - hopefully when I get back from hoilday, I can take a few more days off, and finish the plane...

Spent some time this weekend, at last. All I managed to do was:
1) stuff up priming the cowl
2) brake the break cable

Its gonna be one of _those_ years...

The reason for that is that you are not staying in Practice. ## ## ##

'n Raven se remme werk nie regtig nie. Jy sal 'n aanpassing moet maak of dit vervang met iets anders.
