I am no eye expert.DarkHelmet wrote:Huh?
This is a post of total ignorance, I used to test 20/20 vision but lately starting to notice a slight decrease in vision. Nothing that might really justify glasses but I can not always see as far as I am used to.
Do we have eye-experts here that can point out things to watch out for?
I think this is a very good topic to elaborate on.
DH. Stay away from the virifocals. They are the most uncomfortable spec to wear. If you are short sited, it make working on a Pc terrible for starters. You have to crane your neck to see what you are doing. As a result one hell of a stiff neck. I have had two pairs. Never again.DarkHelmet wrote:On a sidenote, I always hear my dad going on about "varifocals" (my limited knowledge understands 3 lenses in one, someone elaborate please)
Dad is astigmatic, my entire family has been wearing glasses except me, I always "pass" the test.
I can read this text perfectly clear at ruler length from my forehead. Pretty clear 1m away too!
Would someone please elaborate on the various eye disorders and tell-tale signs?
I surely suffer from Jameson-ites - Too much Jameson and I have to close one eye to read, but that is substance induced
