Sorry meant to add that as well - Landi Loo, THANK YOU SO MUCH for going out of your way to prepare a special breakfast for me, i really really appreciated your thoughts and effort. Franco my friend, Thank you for getting me some additional fuel....

Alpha my boy, this weekend achieved EXACTLY what i wanted when i started this thread 18 pages ago. My concern was that animosity was creeping in, that folk werent flying together for stupid reasons like "were to slow" or we dont know the other fields.... my aim was to do exactly what we did this weekend. Meet new pilots, share flying, create flying stories and begin to unite microlighting again without a care as to what it is that you fly. The point is to fly together, laugh together and if you only arrive fifteen minutes later then the kettle will be boiling or the beer cold.... the point was to kick start and Boost that interest in sharing flying with all again. From low hour pilots to 4000 hour pilots it doesnt matter...

I think we achieved that and created some friendships and indeed some memories that will last for a long time... OR until our next adventure.

One last word - WELL DONE to all the pilots in the gaggle. Radio work (while Madman talks C@C) was spot on, everyone was safe and there wasnt one bit of unpleasantness. procedures were spot on and at a time with five or 6 planes in Tribals circuit all went smoothly and without a hitch.,.. well done lads...

lets start planning the next one soon (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^)

Thank Thatchman for hosting this wonderful weekend.

Dish, you are to be commended for the initiative. It was great to get back to the spirit of microlighting to be reminded how we got to expand out cabbage patch and become more adventuresome.

To Alpha, Madman and Tank Slapper graet to meet you and please lets see more of you at fly aways. Big D - you make me very jealous of your new toy - Fly well.

Gaylord, thanks for keeping our behaviour in check. We need a father figure to stop us from going overboard.

Last to Jeffrey - Thanks for the humour!

Lmfao :!: :!: :!:

Gives me goosies just thinking about the weekend :)

Gaylord, big thank you for getting WRJ started up after landing at Croc's place..seems as if Croc's place has a thing against 503's  or it could be that Alpha's aerie just passed the bug as they slept side by side all weekend

This is what Microlighting is about..does not matter what you fly or how you can fly it..it's about the camaraderie :!:

Pwetty please let the next one come soon..I miss you guys ##

Thanx again for a weekend I will never forget...as I said before..even when I go senile...this weekend will be remembered

(^^)

Thats how we roll MM... have you started planting the seeds for the grippa christmas present yet?? Cos, I think you have realised they are about as important as fuel on a flyaway...

Its like nipping away from the braai on saturday night to "inspect" the planes, only to find flaperons / tank slappers trike loose due to the wind coming up, secured it and carried on the party - (^^) (^^) - the joys of flying in flyaways ...... a good system to secure the plane is essential.... speak to paul, im sure he will organsise a bulk purchase discount... For sure :)

I have realised how important a proper tie down is..with the wind Sunday morning,we were getting worried we were not gonna leave the planned time which was 05h30,that we would get bumped all the way home ##

 Like Alpha said...so much for leaving 05h30..I am glad we only got airborne after 06h30,it was nice and warm as well as fun flying with you crazies

When Thatch said he will drop the grippa set,it was really funny when he asked Sat night, where is Tribals grippa set which was still holding my trike down ##

First party ever where guys compared knife sizes...lmfao..Tank Slapper was not happy when FBI dropped the knife from 3m up

I could not stop laughing when we were heading for Tribals place for the breakie and I heard Thatch say..I can see Klipvoort dam, climb to 25000ft

What can we say, when we were going,it seemed safer so high...of course Tank Slapper wanted to set a new 503 record by climbing to 10000ft

Tribal,it was fun buzzing around your patch on the way home...like Arnold says "I WILL BE BACK" ## ## ##

You can count on us 503's to be there for the next joll....
