Upgraded runway at Circus Airfield

On 5th November 2011 you are invited to fly in and try our upgraded runway. super smooth now and 1100 metres in length. Also widened to 30 metres.
Come grab a 'boerie' roll on the Saturday morning.
if possible give an indicator of numbers that will be arriving so we can have enough food to go around.
Hoping to see lots of planes on the day. You will be very pleasantly surprised at just how good the surface is.

Well done Circus boyz...I know there will be a large outcome...Circus is one of the most central airfields,pass by many pilots...so the runway will be tested plenty

Looking forward to visiting the airfield where it all started...

The chicken or beef is always a possibility, however, the good looking "hostie" to serve them will have to be a fly in !!

Would love to come have a look-see... will see what transpires. Also have a Musical Festival to attend that day... should be a blast.. you're all welcome -but you can't land there; would have to drive in..

Runways are 05 / 23
Right hand circuit for 05
Left hand circuit for 23


On approach to 05 be aware of power-lines.

Marked with balls but are reasonably close to threshold.
Frequency is Johannesburg Special Rules South 125.60
If approaching on 23, land deep, avoiding the first 200 metres of runway as that bit has not settled as well as wanted yet.
Make your way through to clubhouse. White building with green roof and see you there.
