Ela 08 oil temp running high

Our Ela 08 oil temp is running between 110 and 117 deg C with two up.......
What is the best way to bring the oil temp down: :?

1. Install a scoop on water radiator?
2. Install a scoop on oil radiotor? It has got the larger radiator on, as well as thermostat
3. ( suggestions please )

What does your agent suggest?
How does these temperatures compare with other similar Gyros?
How many hours on your Gyro?
Oil Temperature always been a problem?
What type of Oil do you use?
What is your ambient temperature when you achieve those Oil temperatures?

The first ELA’s came out with a small radiator which caused overheating. The radiators size was increased which solved the problem.
The oil radiator was also moved more into the airflow on later models.

What is your CHT temperature ?
What is your coolant to water mixture in the water radiator ?
What is your EGT readings ? Could be running to lean
When last were your carbs balanced ?

How many hours on your engine ?

CHT = 80
Coolant = 50/50
EGT Left = 800; Left = 700
Carbs balanced 1 month ago by Glen Meyer @ Springs and serviced
Total hours = 150
Fuel consumtion = 21L/hour at 80 mph; 29 psi; one up. ????
Tempretures high only when 2 up
Outside temp was 23 degees C

Glen says the Ela's oil radiator's angle must be changed to 30-40 degrees. ( not 90 )
I fitted a scoop, and it looks like it works.....
Will test it again today.

Oil temp is now fine
Ek het vanoggend my eerste vrou opgevat en ook saam met BONZAI BELL
'n brekkie geniet by Kittyhawk. (Gelukkig weet sy nie van hiri forum nie; tensy Sukkelaar haar vertel ... vhpy )
Ek 145kg; vrou 63kg plus 65L petrol. Oil temp = 108 max.!
