As previously mentioned Bacchus, congrats, and if Junkie was your teacher, then well done to him as well.

GR-8 Dad.
Yip, I am at Fisantekraal. Dont be nervous at all. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
And to somebody elses question. Nope, Junkie was not my instructor, but he will probably be the guy who does the fly-test in a couple of weeks.
But hes getting very bald at the moment. I think its al the students that makes his hair fall out. Hehe. Only joking! I will now probably have to do my fly test in the UK!

Uhm :? besides quoting myself - you'll never guest who turned out being my instructor........

OK! Had the aerie in a couple of seriously unique - impossible to ever repeat again maneauvers - right rudder and left ailerons and other can't remember combinations.

But hell, it was great fun and I can't wait until the next lesson.

AT LAST :D :D :D

I did my 1st solo this morning.
I did a few circuits and was told to "make the next one a full stop". I thought it seemed early but thought that time 'just flew by'. Anyway when we came to a stop was told "you going by yourself now"

Anyway it was amazing, I did 2 take off's and landings, when you 1 up it seems the T-bird never wants to land, but all went well.

Hopefully Ill keep good consistency up and keep improving.

did you have to take your instructor for Brekkie? When I went solo I had to take my instructor and his wife out for a champagne breakfast. Nice start to a day

Well done Ryan

You will always remember that first solo and how lekker it felt when you landed the plane all by yourself

Enjoy the rest of the training. It's easy from now on forward

I figured the instructor who did my solo check this weekend had some reasonable flying experience (looking in his mid sixties), so I asked him: Dick, how many hours to your name? His reply was, you are only as good as your last hour, but prior to this one 28 000 hrs   Ex SAAF, Ex SAA ex, ex, ex.

After six average cross-wind touch and go's in real lousy weather we did a landing, he looked at me and said: time for me to get out :P :P
