Ideling Revolutions??.

Postby Blue Max » Sat Aug 13, 2011 8:38 pm

:? :?
Can anybody tell me at what revolutions should my 582 engine in my Thunderbird be when ideling.
Currently it idles at 2500 revolutions when started and when I land after the engine has heated up the revs are about 2800 Revs.
I get the feeling it affects my landings as it wants to get airborne again after toutch-down.
I also have to apply lots of brakes and on my approache at 60 MPH airspeed it require accurate steering once i have touched down.(because of the speed and weight.???!)
Help n biekie asb. (**)

Quite right, lower idle causes "chatter" of the re-drive gears, with subsequent damage down the line. vhpy
