You guys that fly up there....

Are my frequencies correct for the routing?

SR East Springs 125.4
SR South @RA 125.6
FAD183 124.4
SR South 125.6
FAD182 122.35
TIBA 124.8

Looks right to me....especially FAD182 on 122.35 but when in that area, keep an ear on 125.6 and 124.8 as well

Seems to be a problem there Ducky with the chaps not knowing or switching... will stick to 125.6 on alternate though till halfway of FAD and then on to 124.8 for the rest. Maybe one day I'll fit another radio just to monitor but a bit overkill for what and where we fly!

Hi John,

Springs Airfield itself if you are flying out of there is 122.40, then the change to Special rules East 125.40

Hallo John

Next Thursday morning (11 August - early) me and vroulief will do a quick trip from Petit, Eagle flight (Hartswater) to Upington and then back on the Sunday. Its our school reunion(30 years) and I cannot wait to be with my Kalahari friends. You know, every time I put my feet in that soft desert sand I get "hoendervleis". The Kalahari is just so part of me......

There we have it....

Springs - Klerksdorp - Eagle Flight - John Weston - Hopetown - van der Kloof dam - De Aar - Victoria West - Beaufort West - Willowmore - Oudtshoorn - Mossel Bay

Done and dusted in 14 hours flying time! (^^)

I'll post the track here for those who want share the experience - Mapsource & Google Earth!

The story will be in the next Microflight Africa

What an awesome experience - Rod & Dave would be envious RIP
