The seat belt cutters have landed! vhpy vhpy

The landed cost of the seat-belt cutters works out to R85.00 each and I'll be collecting them from the inporter tomorrow.

I'll take care of distribution to the Western Cape guys but please could someone look at the order list above and let me know who / where the upcountry guys are situated / grouped and who would be the best person(s) for me to post a bulk parcel or two to redistribute amongst the folks that ordered? This would be a huge help!

I don't want to post my banking details online so I'll send my bank details with the parcel(s) and simply rely on an "honesty system" whereby you can reimburse me once you've received your seatbelt cutter tool.

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks Dave,
Would offer to help with Gauteng distribution, but I'm leaving for overseas for 10 days tomorrow.
Maybe Condor or Ozgyro could receive the Gauteng stock and issue to the guys at the Kitty Hawk Navigation Rally on 13 August.

(one way of getting the guys to come to Kitty Hawk ## )

I tested one of the seat belt cutters on a canvas webbing belt yesterday (much thicker and tougher than a seat belt) and it literally slips and slices cleanly through it like a hot knife through butter. Helluva impressed. This video I found on youtube pretty shows a very similar tool and it works exactly as shown!

Please could you guys help me to get your seat-belt cutters to you - preferably by nominating a central person or two at the various airfields who can distribute the seat-belt cutters to those that ordered. If I can get their address details today I'll send a bulk parcel of cutters for distribution.

If you ordered seat-belt cutters and your name is NOT reflected above I have already either delivered or made arrangements to get your seat belt cutter to you!

Hi Learjet

I'm in Cape town area for a week as from 29 July. (strand to be specific).
I can certainly take the following guy's cutters with.
Myself -ShallowPig (Jaco) - 2
Jozef Hugo - 1
MPL Pilot - 6
As I see theses guy's regularly.

If there are any other guy's willing to wait - I'll bring their's with as well.

My home base is Coves/Aeroden in the harties area, but it will be fairly easy to get units across to Frans Strydom at Rhino Park for further distribution.

Thanks Shallowpig - Mak has very kindly offered to redistribute amongst the Gauteng folk so I'll be a sending a parcel up to him. I can however send yours with a friend of ours who lives at the Coves but who is in Cape Town at the moment. She's back in Harties on friday and you can arrange to collect from her when you get back if you like?

Thanks Dave, the cutter is awesome. Unbelievable how it slices through belts. A must in all aircraft that have a risk of trapping the occupants.

Who knows but perhaps what happened to Gareth had the purpose to make us all aware and to possibly save several lives in the future.

What I like most is the camaraderie clearly visible in our healthy little community.

By now most of you should have received your seatbelt-cutters in the post - or from Marius (Gauteng) and Paul (FASH) who kindly allowed me to send bulk parcels to them for the guys in their area..

Thank you to those of you who have paid.

They were posted via snail-mail but if you sent me your address and your seatbelt cutter has not arrived by the end of this week please let me know.

Shallowpig - I have yours - let me know your address please and I'll post it off or we can arrange to meet while you're in Slaapstad :-)
