Vaalwater

Postby Splinter » Tue Jul 19, 2011 3:29 pm

Hi guys

I need to fly into Vaalwater on Saturday morning and depart again on Sunday morning. Does anyone know of a runway close to town that is maintained and can be used by a gyro? Transport has been arranged so nothing of the sort needed, only a maintained strip.
Regards

Splinter,

I once flew into a well maintained grass strip about 2km South of Vaalwater with the Bantam. The owners fly a Cessna 210 from the strip, situated next to the graveyard.

I'll check today to see whether I've still got the owner's tel number.

Landed there 2 weeks ago in my Cherokee. Francois and Derek are very accommodating.
