Hanger Space East of PTA

Hi All,

My flying buddy and I are looking for hanger space on the eastern side of Pta. We would like space for two trikes (Preferably not sharing with other trikes due to the risk of hanger rash) We are not too fussed about "drive through" configuration so a side entry/dolly system is also ideal.

IE One hanger big enough for 2 trikes.

Is there any space available?

EDIT: Must be within a 40min drive from the Menlyn area.

Hi Bundy...I saw an add recently for hangar space at Kitty Hawk,(posted at their clubhouse )rather expensive though, or you might consider Petit - a very microlight friendly environment.

Thanks Broker, will check it out but I'm sure it will be beyond our budget. Petit is an option but looking for something a little further north. (closer to the GF , There is hangerage at Zynkraal but I really want to try find somewhere with a cross wind runway.

It seems the rates have gone up... I think I might toy with the idea of leasing some ground space and building my own hanger. There are quite a few spots with private strips that might be feasible.

We are at Rosslyn Microflyers at Kroon Airfield. It is on the old Brits road R513, just West of Pta North. I don't think there is any space at the moment but the owner is busy with a new hanger and each is going to take 2 aeries with own SMS alarm. I think the rate is R1000 per hanger. (R500 per aerie) We are currently about 45 trikes and 5 3-axes.

Aeropark, close to Kittyhawk and Rhino allegedly have new hangars available - I think but don't quote me - about R 1,700 per month. I suspect you could get 2 or 3 trikes in one.
