I wish you all the best John. Its a tough move and it will become stressfull at times. But just keep on keeping on and all will be worth it in the end. Emigration is not for sissies. Mark my words, there will be a time when you feel like packing your bags. When I feel down, I go on avcom and read up on some SA activity in the 123.4 section. Gets rid of my homesickness quickly!

Should be "outta" here on or about 1 June. Andy is not wailing - he's planning to ship my container back to Light Flight to claim sEXY as his own.

Hi,

House sold - funds in my account 27 May. Investments, RA's and pensions being "tossed" to ship funds across.

Interviewed by the US Consulate General in Jhb on Tuesday - went well.

We now have the immigration visas in our passports and the Green Card confirmation papers (sealed envelopes for immigration) to hand in when we touch down in Atlanta en-route Jacksonville, Florida.

Depart on schedule 1 June 2011.

Thanks Jamie - will be looking for a new braai buddy when I get there.

AndyG won three meat prizes again yesterday - we will feast today.

Got 2 X 30 minutes flips to do first and then the smoke.

Thanks a mil for these kind words.

I have already established plenty contacts in the USA around Florida - the sunshine state. Don't need the weather forecast there - everyday, clear, light breezes with possible CB's in the afternoon.

It's going to be a hoot.

You my Buddy are "bull dusting" me.

Yip - now in Jax. FL.

Must say it is magnificent here. Boeing Steerman practicing aerobatics, couple of Lear Jets have come in, Whisper Glider, Barons, Cherokees and couple of RV's as well as some Cessnas buzzing around.
