This is what happened to one of the pilots at panorama,
Hi there all,

On Saturday afternoon (21st may) my cel phone was stolen at the field. Two young white guys in their early twenties had come along to the field last weekend and chatted to Marc and I about flying; they seemed to be genuine enthusiasts. This weekend on Saturday Elio and Steve saw a white Golf arrive at the hangars and the car drove to Elio’s hangar and the occupants rummaged around in his car. Steve and Elio were on the other side of the hangar and as they tried to open the North side hangar doors the Golf drove off in a hurry.
Later that afternoon the two guys who Marc and I had met, plus a girl arrived at the field, in a white Golf. We looked at the car and occupants but didn’t put it all together, probably because Elio was not completely sure that it was the same Golf, and because they were seemingly the same enthusiasts from the week before.
Towards dusk one of these guys asked me for a cel phone charger, as his phone battery was flat. I of course did not have one and offered him my phone to make the call that he needed to (I was also under the impression that he had booked a demo flight with Marc for next weekend). He got into his car and then sped off with my phone. Apparently there were several thefts of cel phones at the motorcross track as well- and people in a white Golf were implicated.
The bastard bliksem thieves who took my phone looked a bit goofy; one had blond/dirty blond/ brown hair and the other had brown hair and had a few teeth missing. Their car was an old white golf and I think that it had a thin red trim strip along the side, in that groove that they have on golfs for the trim. As I recall the passenger side part of the trim, forward of the front door, was missing. The car was a bit scuffed and old looking, much like my car. It feels as if they might be southern locals, so if you southey’s see such a car and occupants please get their registration number so that we can follow this up.
Flight...a dream of mankind, inspired through the ages by the beauty and grace
of a soaring bird
