Hi Aviators

The weekend of the 20 -22 May 2011, we will have an attempt to get 100 Gyro' together at Gariep and stay for the weekend . As we are a friendly bunch we would like to extend an open invitation to everybody thats interested in aviation to join us for the weekend , You can fly or drive as long as that you part of it .

We have made arrangements with the Resort at Gariep for special tariif for the weekend and the person to contact is .

Hi Guys, just a heads up:
I've noticed quite a few gyro's buzzing my house and runway - I love it, but please, if you intend to land, do not use the short runway i.e. rwy 18/36.
There's a stock fence on threshold 36 and an Eskom line about 100m from threshold 18. Most important though, this runway is not maintained at the moment and might have holes on it.
You're more than welcome, but please use the main runway - rwy 10/28. If any of the gyro pilots attending the fly in read this, please convey it to the rest of the crowd.
