Jp mon ami ... You are a far better, handier and cleverer man than me. You really did a fantastic job on your gyro. Me ? I will not dare to immitate that feat. Are you coming to Gariep? You gotta show off that masterpiece of yours. Come on mon ami
want you there!

Re: Xenon Gyro
Alan oh Alan ... Dearie dearie me.
That is the most terrible sight to see.
How you climbed out of that wreck without as much as a bruise I do not know. Im impressed that an old toppie of 61 can take a flip, tumble and a roll and then laugh about it afterwards. I know the feeling... from experience

Re: Xenon Gyro
The Xenon XL three seater. Pilot sits centre and pax behind him on either side.
This huge cabin apparently also comes in a two seat side by side configuration for the XL guys and their XL hunting buddies.
The pilot in the pic is JP's very special , dear and closest friend ... the designer, test pilot himself
The Xenon on floats is apparently doing it's thing in Norway.
The black Xenon is on order for AVBOB.
( Not true... but one helluva story don't you think? )

Now this I like. I like it a lot. Mmmmmmm...
Why is there such a thing as an itch in the weirdest part of one's anatomy?
If someone at Gariep gives me a good offer for my 100 hr machine and Celier installs an electric roll and pitch trim in place of the analog ropes, Braam Hechter can expect a call from me. Ouch !! Here comes that itch again

Re: Xenon Gyro
Good day All.
I trust you are well. While we have been busy with Gariep, and our newest Gyronaught, Johan vL and Jan Loedoff took the green Xenon to the Botswana border for delivery to Jaco. On the way there, they had to refuel at Delareyville. On landing there they met up with Pres Zuma's entourage. They were there on a visit. (You meet interesting people in the smallest places...)
Jaco has a 20 000 hectare farm with Botswana border on the one side and a squatters camp on the other side. The problem is that the farm is too large to patrol by vehicle. The population is also very sparse and calling for help on the radio, may have the support there in approx 20 minutes in a hurry.
We are also planning a visit to Jaco, in the near future, he has a runway and a well equiped hunters lodge. All the activities should also help to keep the unwanted elements at bay for a while.
Greetings, fly safely and see you at Gariep.

What are the differences between that and your current one?

Re: Xenon Gyro
Hi Whirly.
I will post this on Johan's behalf. If you go to http://www.celieraviation.eu and then go to gyrocopters (2 nd drop down from the left) you will get the specs for the executive on the top, and the Xenon 2 RST further down the list. The executive is basically the next generation, longer nose, re-designed fuselage, etc. etc.
I trust this will answer your question.
Greetings
Braam Hechter

Re: Xenon Gyro
Whirly are you wragtag stll chopping? I thought you were firmly seated in gyros by now? Big thing are the doors. Never been a fan of gull doors on aircraft. I would however hang on till Celier gets rid of those ropes in the cabin and install electric trims. I am also curious about the ' new improved turbo' If it aint broke dont fix it. So why?? And then my last consideration and consern before placing my order is that the Xenon is starting to look like the m24 from the front with the changed shape and oh Lordie no ! We dont want that now do we!
i remain a huge Xenon fan for all the reasons already mentioned in the past. But the perfect gyro is coming. Not here yet but shes coming. Dont know when, where or what but shes coming !

Re: Xenon Gyro
Hey Johan, how much have you changed ! When I said that I planned to put the hinges in the front instead of the top, you said :"don't do that, it won't look like a Xenon !" I really did not care, but the real reason why I did not do it was that every time you climb in your seat, your feet bang the bottom of the doors and scratch the perspex. It would be a nightmare with passengers. Just go and have a look at your car. I bet you that you have shoe marks on your doors. It might look different to other gyros, but definitely not practical.Never been a fan of gull doors on aircraft.
