Anybody flying with a full face helmet? I know this topic comes up every once in a while, or should I say every winter. What are the pro and con of flying with a full face helmet?
I am also looking for a spare Buzzcom helmet. Anynody have a used one lying arround that you would like to sell?
Cheers

Re: Full face helmets?
Piet, Air Hog has been visiting us for kits, take a look at what we supply to the UK....Conrad has been sourcing parts from us for almost two years and is building/converting helmets in Gauteng. I think on a commercial basis as well as he has taken several kits from us ?
See http://www.headsetkits.com/ for how to do it.
We are making a Nomad helmet that is to be supplied with a Snowmobile visor, waiting for visor stocks. We have the prototypes and the eps liner is being made.
Unfortunately to build a kit into a helmet is not justifiable time wise for us, hence we supply the kits. Golden rule is to use a earseal of some kind inside. We can supply Nappa leather units that are fitted in a EOD helmet that seem to work fairly well. If a customer wishes to use with a chatterbox system we supply 4 x 1/2 AA Li Ion primary cells which give about 200hrs before replacement. Super light and cheap as they are used in Mac G4 computers. We also supply rechargeable units.
Cheers Zulu1

Centrifugal force in pure Physics does not exist, however this does not apply to Taxi drivers..

Re: Full face helmets?
I have a Vega Full Face Fliptop helmet and I picked up a kit from Paul. Works like a bom. The lot cost me less than a Buzcom helmet (That is the NEW helmet and the headst kit)
This is the way to go.

They are good but expensive.
