Was my assumption correct on page 1 that you are talking about Nic aka Eagle, but 6 pages later everybody is still doing their Sunday tea snickering ?

Sunday tea snickering. At least most of the posters had the decency to give the gent the opportunity to defend himself. The old cliche 2 sides to every story. You then name him and then think that if you are wrong the use of 2 smiley emoticons absolves you of your statement. Talking about 6 pages of Sunday tea snickering I seem to remember a few rambling and bitching and moaning threads about 503's seizing, CAA cover ups and accusations against members of the MISASA committee.

But strange, what you mention above is that all of it found cause due to bad South African salesmanship, then bad service and even worse after sale service.

My reply to OZ therefor is, "NO, THIS IS ABNORMAL !!", but maybe you should expect this in South Africa and keep your mouth shut. Do not complain about bad service. You might get a mouthfull from those who do accept this sh@t.
