OK so the change is not on the hotter one, rather the cooler one. In other words that carb is running richer, suddenly. Check the plugs as mentioned. Are they burning black?

the only way the fuel mixture can get richer is if the choke (actually a fuel enricher) is not sealing shut properly. Check the image. Your choke cable lifts !9 to allow pure fuel to move from the float bowl to the throat of the carb. Could be leaking slightly and getting worse, now that the temps have dropped further

Thanks Morph - this is the first thing that I intend to do, when I get to the airfield -Wx permitting!

I went to the airfield and checked all the plugs - they pretty much look like the sample no5 in the below link - cleaned them and went out with the trike, still the same results. It has been suggested that the carbs need to be balanced, or by putting new spark plugs in and seeing if it makes any difference.

I also came across this website for Rotax..

definitely.. I suspect it would have affected both EGT's and not only one if this was the case ?

Are there any updates on this matter.
My probe readings differ by about 70 degrees C (I assume the Skydat GX1 gives reading in deg C).

I havent check everything that was mentioned.

Strange one this, but I helped my wife during her pre flight, and noticed the two throttle cables to the carbs, were cable tied just under the two stroke oil container, and the right hand carbs' cable was flatter (didnt have the arc in it that the left hand one did). So, I pulled the cable through the cable tie.

After the training session, my wife said the EGT's were within 5 degrees of each other.

Is it possible that such a simple fix could have solved the problem ? :?

My 2 carbs were re-synced (was out) and my EGT's are also now between 5 and max 10 deg C out
So problem solved on my side
