Re: Ezulwini Lodge Fly-in
Guys, this event is open to ALL, particuarlly microlights. This event is for all aircraft trypes. Due to the immense success of the past events, this has now become an annual fly-in. Guys flew in from Cape Town a few years back. It has become so popular that the lodge is normally fully booked. It is a unique oppertunity to fly the best part of our entire coastline including St Lucia, Cape Vidal, Sodwana, Mabibi, Black Rock, The Kosi Bay lake system, Lake Sibaya etc. This year, there is a truly unique suprise similar to what one experiences on the Kalahari Bundu Bash.
It entails an outlanding breakfast at a truly special and unique destination. The lodge is three star and they have reduced their rates to make the event affordable. Ph me if you have any queries.Regards Mike 083 630 5073.

Re: Ezulwini Lodge Fly-in
Unfortunately we only read about this event on the forum after we planned and booked our trip to Ezulwini for June
(viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14886)
Will definitely keep it in mind for next year

Re: Ezulwini Lodge Fly-in
Hi all
If there are any `real` aircraft (
) flying to this event that cannot operate from the Ezulwini strip, there is a fair amount of secure parking available at Hluhluwe airfield (FAHL). We have a fenced-off and electrified site, and Mr Pierre Conradie from Alpha security has kindly made a guard available for the weekend.
Please note that we unfortunately cannot offer hangarage or avgas.
If you intend to park at FAHL, please contact me so that I can organise the airside and ground side gates to be opened. We are a small non-profit flying organisation based at FAHL, and we do not charge any landing/parking/approach/apron/passenger/handling/bathroom/because-its-Saturday fees. If you however feel like making a contribution this will be much appreciated, as this will help with the upkeep of the runway. It has a grass surface, and in places has a few corrugations. Just keep the nosewheel off if your aircraft has got a trainer (nose) wheel. We have had Mooneys come in, so no one should have too much trouble. Below is some gen about the field. Please feel free to contact me, and enjoy the weekend. Please do so responsibly and with consideration to others (this includes those on the ground that you are flying over!
