Hi
Need info on size of the seat frame for a trike. I am in the process of building a para glider trike and want to install a similar seat to my trike
What is the basic length of most trikes
Thanks

There are about 20 different types of trike makes, models and configurations. So let me know which one you are looking for and as soon as i have that info I will go around the country, try and locate the specific one you are looking for, try and locate the owner, get permission, or ask him to come to the hangar, open up, and let me in with a tape measure and......

GO MEASURE A TRIKE .. don't you think?

Re: size of seat frame
Grumpy maybe you can just measure your back-end from one side to the other
OK I am building a trike so maybe I can give you some idea. The seat frame width, side to side, should be between 400 and 500mm. 440mm is sort of in the middle and should be good enough for most seats, except may in Grumpy's case.
The depth is not so exact because the seat sits at an angle. The bottom is approximately 380mm but it occupy about 500mm from the front edge to the back.
The basic length of a trike is about 2.8m from the propeller to the front but I am not sure why you want to know this?
A trike seat might be a bit of an overkill for you. A trike seat needs side support for steering which I do not think you need.

Hey Grumps Looks like we got a sensitive one here
ha ha - heres the way it works
The okes are very very supportive, half the time most of what they say is in jest and the rest of the time they have had a few beers!!!!
Many many okes will look at the topic and scan through it, if they dont know they wont answer - hence 50 views and 1 answer.
Supportive??? read D20's story on giving up the dream, thats support right there
When they do answer it will be a good one and more than likely helpful

Pity Party over ????
