Microflight Africa Magazine - Easter Edition

Postby John Boucher » Sat Mar 05, 2011 4:35 pm

The Easter Edition of Microflight Africa is ready to go members that are paid up for 2011. The due date for members that have not renewed their subscriptions yet and wish to do so is Wednesday 9th March 2011. You shall receive this wonderful publication plus.... the DVD - Flying African Skies. The DVD features routes across Africa:
- Cape Town to Cairo via the Fish River canyon.
- Jhb to Maputo along the coast to Tanzania then Malawi & down to Vic Falls.
- Paul Kruger to the OFS cosmos fields, Drakensberg then down to the South Coast & along the Wild Coast plus...

The photo competition is open for the next magazine. The photos entered must be in PORTRAIT or be suitable to CROP for the FRONT COVER.
The photos submitted by members on the microlighters forum could thus not be considered due to most being in landscape. One photo was however selected as the photo competition winner and the person announced in the magazine has won a great prize plus goes into the pot for the annual grand prize. The winning microlighters photo has been featured as a double page centre spread in the magazine - it looks awesome.

The existing photo competition thread is now open for the next magazine - add your photos to those that are already there and the voting goes towards the annual grand prize - A R3,500 awesome custom made helmet. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15258

Bugwar....

It is easier to pay the full amount to MISASA and then Brett pays over the Aeroclub portion to them.....

That appears to be the correct number as they relocated to new premises.

Re: Microflight Africa Magazine - Easter Edition

Postby John Boucher » Tue Mar 08, 2011 10:27 am

Guys & gals....

Please note that we have decided to send the Easter Edition of Microflight Africa to the current membership list as well as the 2010 memberlist!!

This was done due to the current complications in issuing membership cards (AeroClubSA) and proof of payments etc. not showing members as being valid. I urge members though when they do renew their membership or apply for new membership to complete the forms with ALL possible information. Reconciling payments to applications becomes a total nightmare when funds have been paid in and just a person's first name is used as reference! We really do need your co-operation in this regard to get a concise and current database in place! This is also one of the major causes as to why some people do not receive their copy of the mag!

Also, the members that have applied for the first time and have never been a member of MISASA, and don't receive your copy of the MAG, kindly PM me your details (COMPLETE DETAILS please!) and I'll see to it that you receive a copy of the mag.

Regards

JB

John, I made a payment of R570 to Aeroclub on 23 December 2010 and have not received any correspondence.

I used the link provided by Bugwar to re-submit my info to Brett at MISASA, Aeroclub and RAASA's email addresses (as shown on the MISASA website) with the proof of payment from my bank.

Hope to get some response -0<

Hi everyone....

Your copy of Microflight Africa Easter Edition should be appearing in your post box by now!

Included in the mag is the long awaited "Flying African Skies" and Alan convinced someone to part with a whole lot of the latest AVIMAP FREQUENCY CHART (March 2011)

Enjoy the read and compliments, complaints and suggestions can be posted here! (^^)
