MGL Xtreme EFIS

Postby Air Hog » Thu Feb 24, 2011 9:28 am

I am very exited, got my new MGL Xtreme Mini EFIS today from MGL. Can't wait to fit it this weekend. Have ordered it for the Thunderbird but will fit it to the Aquilla in the mean time.

And, the basic instrument without the Optional stuff at the price of a GPS.

The RDAC is standard with the system although it shows optional.

Price please?
Flew behind one in a SINUS a while back, but they were still playing with GPS and RDAC was extra then. Looks awesome. Does it have the GPS functionality yet? (Heading and ground speed)

Basic system R7805 shipped to Pretoria. Does not have all the funtionality of GPS yet, but ground speed and heading working like normal GPS. Free upgrade later in the year as promised, to get all GPS functions working.

Is it waterproof so that it can be fitted to a trike?

What I understand it is not "Dunk Proof". I am fitting mine to a Aquilla Trike on a T-Pod, so it is out of the weather but still exposed.

Check this link http://www.mglavionics.co.za/Infinitec/XTreme.html

I am not an Agent for them, just exited about it.

Just to confirm the price is for the unit without these add ons?

(1) Requires optional MGL Avionics AHRS sensor unit (SP4/SP5)

(2) Requires optional MGL Avionics compass sensor unit (SP2)

(3) Requires optional MGL Avionics RDAC unit

(4) Requires optional MGL Avionics current monitor sensor

So in other words all the functions (with the numbers next to them as per justin.schoeman post) will not work?

Yes on 1,2 &4. 1 is MOER expensive.

RDAC was not included when I asked for pricing but that about R1200
